2001, the ESP name/brand was formally given to the street art/graffiti activities that the four members were involved with. This was decided by Dkoda, Selph, PHilfy and Irie. ESP today covers more then street art but also includes, music, animation, computer graphic design, photography, hand illustrations and canvases, and more. Its a way of life, a way of thinking.
ESP stands for ‘Extra Sensory Perception’. Literally this means – being able to have a “sixth sense”, a mind power which enables one to see into the future and move objects with their mind. However, personally, ESP stands for thinking outside the box in many areas such as life, art, politics, culture, love, people, and so on.
Doing more then just ‘the norm’ and helping to influence others who may have less then you, in a positive way, through the arts. This, together with expanding our reach and awareness – is our version of the ESP ‘mission’. In two words we call this Urban Catharsis.
