“2020” Featuring Original Artworks by 20 Local and International artists

2020 is a vision of the world a decade hence. Each artist, responding in their unique style, will present their vision, focused onto a 40 x 40 cm canvas but liberated by freedom of medium. These individual representations of the year 2020 as foreseen by a globally representative group promise to challenge your own notions of the world in 10 years time. 2020: perfect vision or shortsighted subjectivity…? Only time will tell, but come along and see how their vision compares to your expectations…

2020,將是十年以後，你有聯想過十年以後的世界嗎？above second 以2020為主題邀請二十位來自不同國家，擁有不同文化背景的藝術家參與這次的展覽∕創作。透過二十位藝術家的獨特見解，觀者將預視一個不同以往的世界。 閉上眼以個人的觸覺去建構未來，不同的媒介都將是塑造未來世界的重要元素。藝術家們都以個人感受創作，above second 將之結合為一個整體。微妙且具預言性地將創作者和觀者一同帶往虛構的未來世界。

2020年，世界會以甚麼形象向世人展示？時間將會是一個誠實的答案，但大家不妨來一起想像屬於大家的2020年。

The 12 invited artists will be supplemented with 8 artists selected by Above Second in open call. A panel of 6 judges, namelyAlan Chan (Founder of Alan Chan Design Company), Young Kim aka Suitman (Artist), Dee Poon (the founder of Dysemevas and COO of Esquel), Alan Lo (Chairman of the Hong Kong Ambassadors of Design), Tat and Vi of Graphicairlines (Artists) will nominate these pieces on Dec 4th, the selected works will be announce online via www.above-second.com on December 6th, 2010
