對象” 周耀輝與80/90後 跨時空媒體性別展 “The Obscure Desire of Objects”

“The Obscure Desire of Objects”
An exhibition by Chow Yiu Fai and his students based on recreations of his lyrical works. Inspired by a selection of his lyrical works, Chow Yiu Fai collaborates with his post-80s/90s students to explore issues of words and the city, body and sexuality, boundaries and porosities, ultimately to pay tribute to the obscure desire, of objects.

This exhibition started with three wishes.
I wish to see something usually not visible in our city. I wish to create and re-create. I wish we were living in a better world.
I invited Yvette, Sui, Beryl, Jeska and Lun, all born in the 80s/90s, to join me. I also invited transgender activist Joanne Leung and transgender sex worker Kei Kei to participate in some of the works. Inspired by a selection of my lyrical works, the exhibition explores issues of words and the city, body and sexuality, boundaries and porosities, ultimately to pay tribute to the obscure desire, of objects.
