香港藝術家李志清,
是國際知名的華人畫家,
是第一位在日本發表漫畫作品的香港漫畫家,
亦是日本首屆「國際漫畫賞」最高榮譽之「最優秀作品獎」的得主。
他的作品具有鮮明的個人風格特色,
尤其是其「水墨」元素,使他筆下的人物、景物更具神韻。
是次展出的65幅畫作,
是李志清除卻漫畫、插畫、水墨畫、西洋畫以外鮮為人知的速寫作品,
亦是李志清過去二十多年遊歷速寫的一少部份,
包括遊歷香港、澳門、中國、日本、匈牙利等地時繪畫的速寫。
其中一幅《太平山街》更是為這次展覽而特意繪畫。
細緻具體的風景描繪,
色彩運用淋漓盡致的水彩速寫,線條簡單直接的抽象素描,
充分表現李志清的速寫技法之變化多端,
處處流露著他的人生點滴及生活思考,
及使我們對身邊的事物有更深刻的體會,更能欣賞生活上種種的美。
“速寫,是一種獨立的藝術表現,
用筆與紙,細細地品味著身邊的事物,
成為記憶的橋樑、創作的根本。
好的速寫,在寥寥數筆便能顯現出一種意境、一種韻味,
充滿畫家的個人情感與思想智慧。
一幅速寫絕不比一幅苦心經營的油畫遜色。”
關於速寫,李志清如是說。
李志清 簡介
一九六三年生於香港,藝術工作者,香港當代藝術家協會會員。
一九八一年,開始從事繪畫美術工作,包括漫畫、插畫、水墨畫、西洋畫等。
一九九二年,水彩作品入選香港當代藝術雙年展,為香港藝術館收藏。
一九九三年,代表香港文化傳信與日本SCHOLAR出版社合作,正式出版《三國志》漫畫,在港日兩地大受歡迎,成為首位成功打入日本漫畫市場的香港漫畫家。
二零零七年憑《孫子攻略》(原名《孫子兵法》)獲日本首屆「國際漫畫賞」最高榮譽之「最優秀作品獎」。
二零零八年獲香港星島集團「第十四屆傑出領袖獎」、香港特別行政區政府「行政長官社區服務獎狀」,並於日本橫濱舉行「『創意香港在橫濱』——李志清中國畫.漫畫作品展」。
二零零九年為香港數碼娛樂協會「第二屆香港數碼娛樂業風雲人物選舉」數碼薈跨組得獎者。
二零一零年獲香港男性時尚雜誌《JMEN》選為「年度男士」。
著有《三國志》、《包青天》、《三顧草廬》、《孫子攻略》(原名《孫子兵法》)、《射鵰英雄傳》、《笑傲江湖》、《水滸傳》、《孔子.論語》、《項羽.劉邦》等多套漫畫作品;《三國志畫集》、《李志清作品集》、《李志清俠士圖.金庸小說插畫集》、《李志清水墨.金庸小說以外的一筆》等畫集;以及速寫散文集《深刻的注目》、插圖散文集《畸形的地球先生》、繪本《那年的天空很藍》、圖文書《墨說孫子兵法:策略思考的藝術》。

Eye-Catching Sketch Exhibition by Lee Chi Ching

HAJI Gallery and Ippou Creative House proudly present “Eye-Catching Sketch Exhibition” featuring the world-renowned illustrator and artist Lee Chi-ching. Lee is a world-renowned illustrator and artist focus on comics and contemporary art in Hong Kong. He is the creator of Romance of the Three Kingdoms, the first set of Hong Kong comics published in Japan. His historical comic Sun Zi’s Tactics won the Gold Award (The Best Work) at the 1st International MANGA Award organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan in 2007, and he was the first Hong Kong comic artist to win such an important international award.
To kick-start his series of works in 2012, Lee will exhibit 65 pieces of sketch at HAJI Gallery starting on June 9, 2012. Lee brings unique work of art made from his previous sketches. Comparing with comic, illustration, ink painting, watercolor and oil painting, sketch is rarely known of art made by Lee. Exhibits shown this time contain part of his travel sketches in Hong Kong, Macau, China, Japan and Hungary over the past 20 years. One of the exhibits, namely Tai Ping Shan Street, is the sketch exclusively drawn for this exhibition.
About the artist
Lee Chi-ching, born 1963 in Hong Kong, is a world-renowned illustrator and artist focus on comics and contemporary art in Hong Kong. Lee began drawing comics and graphic novels in 1981. In 1992, he won an award for his watercolors at the Hong Kong Contemporary Art Biennial and had his work housed at the Hong Kong Museum of Art.
Lee is also creator of Romance of the Three Kingdoms, the first set of Hong Kong comics published in Japan. His specialty is in historical comics and ink painting, usually based on pre-existing classic novels, including the works of Wuxia writer Jin Rong (Louis Cha). His major comics works include Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Outlaws of the Marsh, The Legend of the Condor Heroes, Sun Zi’s Tactics, etc.
In 2007, Lee’s historical comic Sun Zi’s Tactics won the Gold Award (The Best Work) at the 1st International MANGA Award organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan. He was the first Hong Kong comic artist to win such an important international award.
In October of 2008, the exhibition “Creative Hong Kong in Yokohama”, features the comics and Chinese paintings of Lee Chi-ching, was held at the Yokohama Communications and Media Centre. The exhibition was organized by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (Tokyo) of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government as part of the “Yokohama Asian Wave 2008” event. In the same year, Lee was awarded “Chief Executive’s Commendation for Community Service” by the Hong Kong Government for his contribution to the art development of Hong Kong and the “Leader of the Year 2007” award (sports/culture/performing arts category) by Sing Tao News Corporation respectively.
In 2009, Lee won the 2nd Hong Kong Digital Entertainment Person of the Year Election in the digital crossover stream. The election was organized by the Hong Kong Digital Entertainment Association (HKDEA).
